The Elemental King is the ruling monarch of the dragonkin.

Very little is known about the Elemental King. Though venerable, he is considered the most pure of the elemental dragonkin and the most powerful of the tidekin. It is believed that he has personally sired each of the four reigning princes, insuring the sanctity of the monarchical bloodline for the next generation. It is also rumoured that the Elemental King is an elemental savant, with the ability to summon and control all chromatic energy types, though exactly how is unknown, as the dragonkin do not reveal their bloodline secrets to outsiders.

It has been suggested that the Elemental King himself is a chosen of Seija, embodying the balance of the world's raw elemental power.. The perpetual imbalance and the storm of Khyron's wrath currently circling the globe may possibly have contributed to the dragonkin's choice in revealing themselves to the world in recent years.

The oldest of the Elemental Princes, Orthos Tideborn is known to be firm, but fair. Possessing a frightning degree of skill with the element of fire, he is one of the dragonkin's greatest crafters and warriors both. He is exceptionally xenophobic, and feels that by letting outsiders into their society will spell doom for their superior race. If they must expand however, Orthos believes that they should dominate, as would a dragon.

Roghar is the most grounded and reasonable of the Elemental Princes. He is collected, calm and unflappable. Possessed of an affinity towards the earth, he is a craftsman and tactition both, with a skill to sculpt a battlefield to his desires. He believes that the dragonkin must expand, though domination is folly. Diplomatic envoys must be sent to the lands of the softskins, else they will only become another danger for their small numbers to face.

Raiona Featherstep is the only female sired by the Elemental King that has survived to maturity. As with all tidekin, she possesses a great skill with the waves, but also does she have a deep affinity with the storms, making her a surprisingly nimble combatant with dominion over all aspects of a battlefield and the landscape both. Her closest ally is her brother, Roghar, who she finds grounded and more reasonable than her other siblings. Raiona believes that isolation will cause the death of the dragonkin and is a proponent for not domination over the soft-skins, but for inclusionism.

Falkati is perhaps the most malliable of the Elemental Princes. He possesses a great skill only with the innate gifts of the Tideborn, but this does not detract from his prestige and skill both. Falkati is young, curious and has an explorer's mind, making him the ideal choice as an envoy to the lands of the softskins– if guided by Raiona and Roghar, that is. Curiously, though he has a flexible way of thinking that would seemingly bond him closely with Roghar and Raiona, his idolizing of Orthos places him in the unenviable grip of hero worship of the one thing that may have the possibility of destroying the exploritory expadition to the west.
