Karak Delvar: “the Eternal Underhome” (historic)

Location: underdark, central Shadow (beneath the current Charu Mountains)

Fall: circa -8,600SG

The first of the major shield dwarven settlements, settled within deep underdark. Remained in relatively good stead for several millennia, until the invasion of combined drow and duergar forces slew most of them and expelled the rest out, with the drow taking the city and reshaping it to their own ideals as Qi'sztovir. The survivors fled to the northeast, eventually settling at the present site of Barak Morndin.
