It's taken many hands to bring this initiative to fruition, but today, we are proud to publicly announce that Antioch will now pass muster in the eyes of all of the deities of Edea's radiant light." This military alliance between Graez, Carmorth, Serakii and a recently uncovered nation state of Entrada Carava has already supplied fresh weapons and troops to Graez, military leadership and supplies to Carmorth, and a significant amount of gold to Entrada Carava. And a large eye appeared over the city of Tonovi, before vanishing, and sending a wave of energy across the world. Tonovi's Unity celebration was turned into a bloodbath, and hundreds perished. The lords and government are among those that fell, and the city works to fill the power vacuum left over. **04/27/2024**\\ Word travels around Tonovi that Kasper Strauss, leader of the Unity Party will be hosting a grand celebration in Tonovi, in the coming days. The Tapestry of Dark Souls has been found and placed once more in the care of those who can best protect it. Many came together to achieve this, including the fey of the veil, the centaur tribes of Eucalia and the clergy of Edea. Under supervision of the Warden of Lysara, Malcolm Aubry, the threat of the artefact, the blue dragon and a number of creatures of the dark were repelled, allowing all to sleep soundly once more, without the threat of impending danger! Thanks once more go out to the up-and-coming Extravagant Boars, who were instrumental in this great achievement. **03/18/2024**\\ News out of Dagger suggests that a fierce battle took place on the day before the Tyrannos full moon. Lasting until twilight turned towards nightfall, the heroic adventurers of the Extravagant Boars mercenary group were able to fight their way through the hoard, retrieving the artifact known as the Tapestry of Dark Souls. It is suggested that a number of out-of-the-way villages have their survival utterly dependent on the actions of this group, though sightings of an ancient blue dragon have been frequent in the days that followed. **03/04/2024**\\ A string of attacks on monsters and monster adjacent by Tonovian Soldiers, within Tonovi and the surrounding areas in Yniam. The attacks by eye witnesses say they were quick, brutal and effective, as if the soldiers were being aided by the help of magics! **02/17/2024**\\ News from Tabor is that the strix, the winged devils of the wildlands are now making attacks on cities! Three of Tabor's brave city guard were slain, along with one of the psyknights. Their limbs were left behind as perhaps a warning, perhaps a threat at further assaults. **02/06/2024**\\ The same vortex that seems to be reappearing showed up once more and several cities including Antioch, Shadow, Tharis, Torm and Tonovi have been attacked. Tonovi on the other hand, as seen damages throughout the entire city, buildings in ruin, some damaged, streets in shambles and a hole in the southern wall. The chancellor of Tonovi was seen valiantly fighting in the streets along with adventures from all over. Notably the two Lords of Yniam who faced off a large Shadowy Chimera. After the battle of Tonovi, Kasper Strauss made an announcement. Praising the valiant followers of the Unity party and the regular citizens who took up arms to defend their city along the guards and army. And that such an attack will not be left unchecked, preparations are being made to combat such threats in the future. Repairs have begun there as well, but will take much longer to fix. **02/06/2024**\\ The Elemental King is dead. Long live the King! **01/29/2024**\\ A Shadow Guard with a half face mask walks into the Shadow square: "Just a little while ago, Shadow was attacked by a group of undead. Grave knights. While the criminal was invisible, our guards can see through such enchantments. The perpetrator was a "voluptuous human with foresty eyes and brown hair". As such a 2,000,000 gold bounty has been set on this necromancer. And a subsequent 250,000 gold reward for any information. The only clue that we have, is a teleport trace has led to the Temple of Nilith. As such, the Council has decided that all Necromancers are not only banned for Shadow but will be killed on sight." **01/29/2024**\\ Near the outpost in Yniam, a gallows was constructed, and upon them 13 bodies hung for all to see. The Lord of Yniam, Vikaelis, gives a speech about the preservation of Yniam and it's people. Warning them this will be their fate if they attack Yniam again. The bodies that are strung up, are tieflings and satyrs. Torm's queen addresses her people directly with speech: "These monsters have have been put to rest, and justice given to those families who've lost so much. A memorial will be erected on the outskirts of Torm, to memorialize those that lost their lives to these barbaric attacks. Out of this, we have learned, and grown, and shall not repeat the same mistakes again. Torm will be increasing it's guards and add patrol routes around our city. Nilith's worship will be banned within the walls and the surrounding lands under Torm's rule. Khyron's and Cacia's worship be allowed once more. But fanaticism will not be tolerated. Any who step out of line will be met with the executioner's blade. With these measures, we will see stability and safety restored to our borders." Tonovi's Chancellor, Kasper Strauss, makes a public speech as well. "I would like to start off with thanking the Lords of Yniam, Vikaelis and Branwen for the capture of these.. Beasts. This is what happens when we let all those who are not of pure human blood within our gates. All of these culprits? Tainted with blood of devils and fey. Monsters and tricksters. The more we invite the horrid creatures in, the more problems they bring, soon, we'll be overrun. How would you be able to protect your families if they live next door? How will you be able to make an honest living, with a beast at your back ready to strike? I say, never. Any who attack our lands will be met with swift execution, and a public display for all to see. We, the Council, I, your Chancellor, are here to protect all of Tonovi and our Protectorates from harm, and dispense justice to any who dare threaten our peace." Anti-Monster sentiments are at an all time high within Tonovi and the Unity party gains massive popularity. While the Lords of Yniam gain praise amongst their people as well. **01/23/2024**\\ In the City Square, a representative of the Crown came forth to give a speech on some of the happenings in the Dagger Region; "We have figured out who the culprits are behind the attacks on out lands with overwhelming evidence, thanks to the aid provided from Adventurers and Locals. The attacks were carried out by followers of Cacia, Nilith and Khyron. A group consisting of each all in a joint venture to target the helpless. We publicly condemn these attacks against the Dagger Region. If we continue to allow these faiths within our walls, we only invite trouble once more. As such the Torm rejects those the faiths and any who openly follow them will be suspended from entering till further notice. We also demand the churches of the three faiths to pay reparations for the damages and the lives taken in these assaults on our vassals." The Queen's popularity rises in the city, while sentiments in Torm towards these three churches lower. **01/19/2024**\\ News out of Torm is that the temple of Lysara was infiltrated by a gang of cutthroats and thieves! Though the clergy are remaining curiously closed lipped, the prevailing theory is that the vagabonds took something from a hidden vault within the temple grounds. The clergy are asking the faithful, and anyone else who may know anything to step forward if they have any information. In the meantime, citizens of Torm are being asked to keep their eyes out for an old Cevahiran crone under the protection of a fatherly looking human man, a pale elven woman, a blue-haired human woman and a green-haired human man. **01/04/2024**\\ Scattered reports come in from around Yniam and Torm, that several farming communities were attacked. No one survived. Tonovi and Torm are looking for clues on who is behind the attacks and are offering a gold reward to those that help. **11/22/2023**\\ A strange orange-red Miasma appeared out of the ground, and soon after reports all over the Shadow and Dagger Continents, of strange wooden, shadow like monsters that started attacking. These attacks were small, but left those who encountered the creatures, with terrible nightmares. The cities that report the attacks are Antioch, Tharis, Shadow, Azha, Torm, Tonovi and Yniam, Protectorate of Tonovi. **11/14/2023**\\ Waterday, 9 Winterstime, 770 SG: a number of saurian manned ships have docked at various ports around the realms. Though not unusual for saurian navel vessels to make it this far to the west, their cargo certainly is. There are reports out of Seneca, Serakii, Torm, Tharis and Shadow that the saurians are accompanied by strange creatures; Draconic figures with tails and wings who have apparently been speaking with dock officials and in some cases, city leadership. What the nature of these meetings are are still in question, as neither the sailers, draconic figures or officials are willing to make a statement at this time. In some cases, shortly after making landfall, the ships have sailed off, with dark looks and mutterings of overwhelming arrogance at the departing boats. **11/12/2023**\\ The denizens of the Prime that were asleep at the time, all awake suddenly to a strange dream... A strange Nightmare: A golden box bursts open, releasing swirling mass of dreams and nightmares that forms into a gargantuan beast, that rampages through the Shadow and Dagger Continent, and the Wildlands. **10/20/2023**\\ A strange seeping mist, the sound of spectral horseman, the coming of the end of days, and an overall feeling of dread. These seem to be the topics commoners and officials are talking about in both public and private places. Shopkeepers are closing their doors at night. Marketplaces and common meeting places are becoming more bare in the evening hours. Homes doors are being locked tight, windows are shuttered. Elders seem to recite stories of the Silence more often now. Temples of Cevahir, Lysara, Jarmila, and Kismet have seen increased activity. Scholars and clergy pour over ancient texts and scrolls looking for any information as to what these signs mean. So-called Soothsayers, Prophets, and Priests of dead or non-existent gods tout "the Apocalypse is upon us..." Some even go as far as shouting at passersby that their lack of faith is to blame. **10/19/2023**\\ Though the Golden Legion have taken losses, they have finally vanquished the hostile force that was plaguing them with the curse of undeath! A team of noble adventurers from around the realms gathered to aid Corsair and his men, though what they found was beyond the expectations of many; the dragon, Umbralux struck! Somehow, by intervention from evil chaotic forces or pure tenacity, the vampiric black dragon assaulted the legion and the adventurers both with a force of undead as great as any mortuum of Nurval! Though vanquished thanks to the bravery of the Crimson Templars, rumours are now spreading that the dragon-- and the newly turned Romario Corsair are at large, biding their time in the dark, dank depths of Graez's beleaguered landscape. **10/16/2023**\\ A large battle took place north of Azha... Rumors say the Strix were involved, and that Adventurers, Shadow and Tabor Guards came to the aid of the Kreysneothosies Clergy and Azha Guards. Many were lost on either side.... A bit more news spreads, as a large explosion happening in the Ashran temple, destroying much of the main chapel's interior. **10/14/2023**\\ Rumors abound that curious cults of demon worshipers are being torn apart, sometimes quite literally in the middle of the night. Though the authorities have no answers at this time as to exactly what is causing this, the running theory is that a vigilante or vigilantes on mass have been prowling the night, seeking revenge for misdeeds of the past. The only known fact is that whatever is dismantling these cultists, there is no care for what is left behind. For at the scene of each crime, a small shrine to a horned, four-eyed creature with tentacles bears the scars of conflict, and the victims, all robed in black with obsidian amulets with a single gem at each of the four cardinal points, leave no question as to the nature of this demon summoning cabal. **10/05/2023**\\ In a joint announcement made by the Cities of Antioch, Azha, and Shadow, they have identified the threat to the trade routes and have issued a precautionary travel advisory for the routes around Azha and north of Shadow. With the first victory at the hands of the newly made Captain of Antioch's Guard and her retinue several weeks ago, the attacks are becoming less dangerous. Nonetheless, smaller caravans and those that are left with minimal defenses are prone to attacks from the sky, from the now-identified attackers called the Strix. **09/13/2023**\\ Reports of entire caravans not arriving at their destinations begin to reach the major settlements! They center around the southern part of the Sarcosta River and the paths surrounding Azha. **09/11/2023**\\ Tragedy strikes once more for the colonial forces of Captain Corsair and his Golden Legion! In one day, the tides shift and panic sets in. After a vast storm sweeps the continent of Atoyatl, all of Corsair's ships are sunk, the undead rise, and fire and lightning eradicate the progress made with their dock construction. If this were not bad enough, a manticore assaulted the dock, though fortunately, Captain Corsair himself was able to put an end to this lesser threat with a show of might. Though the undead were removed and many were able to survive this, the dead are still being tallied. **08/30/2023**\\ Vocal elements of Khyron's faith are declaring doom upon Corsair's crusade to the new land! Though the validity of the statement is hard to prove, the group publicly known as the Stormbringers are claiming onus over the kraken attack, stating that this fate, and many others, far worse are signs of displeasure from the Ravager. **08/26/2023**\\ Romario Corsair and his legion, in search of the new world, have been at sea for quite some time now and word is a buzz around the realms that within the next few days, they should make landfall on the continent. However, there are whispers that on passing Argentrock, the convoy encountered and was forced to fight off a kraken of gargantuan size. To what extent the legion has been inhibited is as of yet unknown, but telepathic conversation conveys that Corsair is still confident in his men, the legion, and the righteous might of the Kreysneothosian cause! **08/11/2023**\\ The church of Kreysneothosies announces today that in but a few short weeks, there will be an expedition to Atoyatl, where a crusade seeks to bring enlightenment to the uneducated savages of that faraway land. Led by the well-known adventurer Captain Romario Corsair of the Golden Legion, it is hoped that within a matter of weeks after their launch, the voyage should make landfall, where the contingent will begin construction of a beachhead from which they can expand their heroic enterprise into the unexplored jungles of the wild, untamed continent. **07/16/2023**\\ Surprise! The Temple of Kreysneothosies was attacked today in the pre-dawn hours by what can only be called a lightning strike. No attackers entered the temple itself but over a dozen priests and supplicants were killed by ferocious crossbow fire from the outside after which the attackers simply vanished. Few witnesses survived, but those that did described the attackers as being heavily armed and armored, and wearing black and red regalia and standards. Families of the victims are calling for answers as to why the temple was so poorly prepared for such an attack whilst knowing of the obvious and imminent danger. **07/16/2023**\\ Astonishing news from Tonovi! Saralona Row-Sorrow, a well-regarded citizen of Antioch has successfully engaged in diplomacy with Tonovi's Minister of State, Corina Beutler, resulting in the release of 100 of the city's Kreysneothosies-worshipping prisoners! Kaspar Strauss made a public announcement praising the diplomatic approach taken by Saralona. His speech cast doubt on the ability of the Church of Kreysneothosies to handle its own problems in a fair and mature manner. He also suggested that perhaps the Church outsource all of its diplomatic actions in the future. **07/15/2023**\\ The Church of Kreysneothosies responded to Tonovi's demands today with no uncertain terms: They will stand behind the actions and words of their two agents and refuse to give them over to the Tonovians. In response, Chancellor Kaspar Strauss has declared the Church of Kreysneothosies a terrorist organization; a force of chaos and destruction that hates freedom and the will of the common people. As a result, all Kreysneothosies worshippers in the city have been named as suspects in terrorist activity and hundreds have been captured and imprisoned in the dark hours of the night. **07/14/2023**\\ The City of Tonovi has sent a formal letter of complaint to the Church of Kreysneothosies today, demanding the heads of the two agents of the Church who attacked and killed Marvin Loeb. If the demands are not met, then the worship of Kreysneothosies will be banned in the city and all worshippers considered collaborators in the event. **07/13/2023**\\ Today, Chancellor Kaspar Strauss gave a rousing speech, denouncing outside threats to the city and calling on the spirit and resolve of the people to face this latest tragedy. This speech was seen as a call to action by the people of the city, and it seems Tonovi has not simply been resting on its laurels this past decade. **07/12/2023**\\ The citizenry of Tonovi is in an uproar as a well-respected and decorated guard captain, Marvin Loeb, has been murdered ruthlessly by what Councilor Kaspar Strauss is calling 'religious fanatical terrorists'. Marvin Loeb was raised as a hero during the war with Nurval, where he selflessly placed the lives of others over his own in the protection of the citizenry against a horde of undead. Councilor Kaspar Strauss will make an official statement on the ruined steps of the old palace to the common folk later today. The City of Tonovi has sent letters of demand to the Church of Kreysneothosies to produce these criminals, or their heads, or else. He has also called on the cities of Shadow and Azha to choose a side in this matter and deal with the consequences of that choice for the foreseeable future. **06/05/2023**\\ A few days back, (24 Sum 767 SG) a cataclysmic shockwave rippled through the arcane weave, causing surges of wild magic that produced random effects, such as feathers growing on trees, fish singing, and livestock adopting coloration best fitting of a jester at court. Coinciding with a Kismetic ritual, rumors begin to spread that in the midst of a covert mission to the very depths of the ocean, a priest of the Iridescent Inspiration gave his life in a burst of spellfire to close an astral gate. Aided by a canny team of adventurers including forces from Edea, Jarmila, Kreysneothosies, Callamir, Eucalia, Nim'navanon and Cevahir, the threat of the slaad and the astral being known as the entity was finally put to rest, leaving the realms once more safe for the common citizenry. **06/02/2023**\\ The latest gossip in taverns across the realm speaks of an influx of missing persons now relocated to their homes after five years of unexplained absence. Rumors abound that these people, all kidnapped in the night have returned thanks to the Kismeti, who staged a series of rescue missions deep below the oceans, though the validity of this is, as of yet, unsubstantiated. **05/17/2023**\\ News begins to spread that after gathering information specifically relevant to their faith, the Kismeti have stepped into the fight against the Slaadi! Attacks are becoming fewer and further between as these dimensional rifts are slowly located and closed, finally giving the healing orders a breath to take stock and gather their strength. This does not mean that the alien incursion is over however. There have been rumors in taverns across the lands of a cult, led by a kraken that is attempting to bring forth their profane astral god from outside the prime material. Though not substantiated, it is believed at this time that this cult is in league with the psionic drow who were once lead by the being who called itself the Dreamweaver. Sightings of kraken are not prevalent though, which causes suspicions to grow as to the true motives and location of these beings. **04/16/2023**\\ Word is slowly spreading that frog-like monsters have been spotted in the docks of both Tharis and Torm. Though no one was harmed in these, it is clear that this is no longer an isolated incident. Shadow in response has established a quarantine zone for all ocean travel, though so far, these are the only known encounters. **04/13/2023**\\ News slowly begins to spread that ships traveling less prevalent routs have not been arriving in ports across the realm. There are rumors that merchant vessels are encountering fog banks, strange storms and other anomalous weather phenomenon unconventional for the well traveled shipping lanes. Stranger than this, there are reports coming in that boats of all sizes, large and small have been showing up unmanned and devoid of cargo far off of where they should be. At the same time, sailors have been reporting to healers with resistant diseases that have left them crippled or dead. **02/27/2023**\\ Celebrations resound in the dwarven settlement of Kinaro as a group of brave adventurers reopened the gate to a long lost area, the Steppes of Carmorth. Soldiers and of various dwarven clans and cevaharian soldiers have already traversed the gateway near the Kinaro church to protect this new patch **02/26/2023**\\ News spreads like wildfire from the north! Stories filter through from Tonovi and Antioch that they are being terrorised by an ogre with a massive build, who "claims" to be a "civilised" monster of all things! At the same time, the temple of Cevahir appears to corroborate this information; there is an ogre with that very description known to frequent the temple, socialising with one of their faithful. Likewise, information is spreading; Marvin Loeb, champion of Tonovi has been bested by an ogre who stormed their gates, the hero grievously wounded and left to die at the roadside. Though Marvin yet lives, his sword was stolen and Tonovi is now regarding all inhumans with suspicion, this extending to half-breeds and other tainted creatures who are suggested to be sentient, tales of gnomish, dwarven and elven merchants rejected from entry at all, among others. **02/18/2023**\\ News has now reached most cities that a massive dwarven raid against a Duergar stronghold responsible for the raids across the realm. Gossip says the gold and shield dwarves sacked the fortress and took no prisoners. Northern cities are taking precautions against retaliation and strangely the temple of cevahir continues to stockpile and prepare templars, as if the battle they expect is still to come. **02/09/2023**\\ Rumours swirl as more and more hosts of battle geared dwarves have been seen marching north from their various enclaves. The temple of Cevahir also seems to have called on furloughed templars back to active duty. War is coming. But against whom? **01/28/2023**\\ The taverns of Shadow are a buzz with talk! Though the citizens have been aware of the psion enclave for quite some time, the city has not seen such a large migration of the psionic adepts in its roadways in a number of years. But why? Some are saying it's just coincidence. Others are suggesting that their secret outsider cult is finally making a move. Yet more are suggesting that they are responding to sightings of a kraken in the waters outside of the docks. The fishermen are scared, the citizens are likewise, but how much of this is to do with the psions, how much is the attacks on dwarves and what happens next? **01/24/2023**\\ Strange weather and chill fogs have lifted, leaving the realm no longer under a blanket of fear! No more children have vanished and things appear to have returned to normal, though an abstract melancholy and a hoarfrost coating has taken icy grip over the garden south of Shadow. **01/21/2023**\\ Rumors and allegations swirl. Though the attempted slaying of Maenoh the Necromancer ended poorly for the young hunters involved it seems that more experienced agents are having success. Rumors flow in from all directions on the mainland as these "Ghosts" make their mark known. In Tharis a Shade priest of Lord Shadow was felled by silver arrows in a crowded market. Before his body could heal he was set upon by the hunters and decapitated, his severed head branded with a stylized G. The hunters retreated quickly chased by the guard. In Tonovi, another Shade, this one a traveling diplomat was slain in the Tonovi hotel. His body was found decapitated and branded with the same G in his room. In Torm a merchant was found dead on his luxury ship in the dock nailed to the deck with silver spikes and the same G brand. In addition the word "Werewolf" was carved into the deck next to the corpse. In Tabor, a bank teller was found decapitated in the Yntala forest just outside the city, he too bore the G brand though no further indication was left of why he was killed. It is said that the Temple of Nilith has already begun mobilizing its own agents to deal with the threat and that among their targets have been several powerful undead. With Shadovar targeted there is no doubt that the Princes of Tenebrosa will not sit idly by, and many wonder if perhaps these hunters have not over extended in their efforts. Despite that, support for the cause is wildly popular throughout the realm as people remember the Long Night of terror that they endured when Ashra rose and many are openly seeking to join the ranks of these hunters though it is still not known exactly who they are or where they hail from. **07/04/2021:**\\ Word has begun to spread that a group of three well-armed individuals clad in non-descript cloaks and armed with silver weapons attempted to slay a dark eyed young woman with black hands outside the Rhapsody Inn. The attackers were set upon by two others in the woman's company, a young feyblooded who leapt from the shadows and laid one low with a quick slash of his blade and a darkly clothed woman who seemed to incinerate another from the inside out. The third was pulled down by a swarm of undead that rose from the ground before being blasted with some form of necromancy from their target that left him a withered husk. The remains were dumped in pieces near Jarmila's temple though at this time the church has made no public statement about whether it was complicit in the attack, but did gather the remains and give them proper funeral rites. **06/04/2021:** \\ Rumor has it a hanging took a right nasty turn on Growingdays, 756. It moved slowly, but steadily against the wind, shedding a hypnotizing glow. The light reached the wreckage of Torm's harbor, revealing at last the hull of a black ship cutting through the roaring waves. A canon fired, its sound drowned by the raging storm. Out of the ship came crawling a battalion of undead that descended upon the city, killing anyone in its way. The city guard responded swiftly, but were overrun by terrible zombies and wicked skeletons. The wretched creatures were followed by a large, horned entity. Twisted and dark, its shape was only discernable when lightning cracked the sky above. Its battalion of undead made it to the entrance to Torm Park, where they were met by army troops and clerics of Lysara. The weakened and overworked soldiers put up a brave fight, as the clergy channeled the energy of their Goddess to destroy the undead. A ray of darkness soared through the battlefield, disintegrating the senior cleric. Laughter rung out through the city streets, marking the approach of the horned entity. It waved its mighty claw across the battlefield, bolstering its undead army. Fallen zombies picked themselves off the ground with lopsided grins and attacked with renewed vigor. Dead soldiers of Torm suddenly stirred, darkness radiating from the void in their eyes. All seemed lost. Amidst the roars of battle and cries of despair from Torm's faltering troops, there could be heard a low singing. Weaving through the battle, was a tall, lanky man in the standard Torm uniform, whose voice was becoming ever louder. "When reigns supreme, Eternal Night" the soldier sang, "A world devoured by lust and fright. Be free once more, Night's own King." And as his melody caught traction with his desperate comrades, his greatsword began to glow. It glowed like the sun itself and the light it shed blinded the zombies and scorched the skeletons. "Then rise to stay the demon's hand, our Lord of War will walk the land." Envigored by the song, a small troupe organized an attack upon the horned entity, striking at the heart of the enemy. Many fell in the attempt, but the singing soldier stood at last before the undead captain. "And lead the Victor's bells to ring!" When he clashed with the entity, the man grew to double his own size and began to glow! His armor transformed into a radiant full-plate and his standard issue helmet became a battered, crested closed helm without an eye-slit. Shining steel dug into shadowy flesh. A mighty claw nearly ripped the hero's left arm off his shoulder. But our hero merely grunted and shouted "In Cevahir's name, begone!" The shining sword struck a fatal blow and the entity dispersed into whips of smoke. The singing soldier returned to his normal size and fell limp to the ground. Through his act of bravery, his comrades were bolstered and soon dispersed of the masterless undead. As the dust settled and the blood turned stale, two names circulated on everyone's lips: Tomas of Torm. Cevahir, Our Lord of War. **06/24/2020:** \\ Rumors are spreading from Tharis of the grand opening of the Temple of Ashra, The Primordial Darkness.
