Then, without warning, reality itself fractured. Three buildings—erased. Not destroyed, not burned, not reduced to rubble—just... gone. As if they had never existed at all. No explosion. No sound. No lingering scent of fire or decay. Nothing. And yet, the aftermath was undeniable. The once-mighty members of House Black lay scattered across the pavement like bloodied ragdolls, their bodies battered, their presence reduced to a mere afterthought in the face of something far greater. And there, amidst the devastation, lay the corpse of a woman. Who was she? What happened here? There’s only one way to find out… but some truths are better left buried.

 +In the dead of night, something unspeakably grotesque transpired in the foyer of the Sceptre of Knowledge. A woman arrived under the cloak of darkness. Bronze-skinned, brown-eyed, clad in layered shades of crimson, and—for some reason—turtle sheaths strapped to her. She carried a shipment. There was no record of any such delivery. Yet, she insisted. And with a deliberate, echoing slap upon the crate, it unmade itself—collapsing into pieces, revealing something horrific. A man stood frozen in place. Rigid. Unmoving. His expression locked in a silent delight, eyes unfocused, yet filled with ecstasy. A paintbrush rested in his grip, mid-stroke, as though time had abandoned him. And then, the true horror. His blood coursed through the canvas, draining from his body, swirling into streaks of crimson before surging back into his veins—an unholy cycle of life and death, artistry and suffering. An eternal loop of creation fueled by his own essence. The room fell into a stunned, breathless silence. Then—a sudden gasp. The artist still lived. Everyone was ordered to step back. No one dared interfere. The authorities had yet to decide what to do with this grotesque shrine of flesh and torment. And the woman who delivered this perverse masterpiece? She has a name. Tatianna. Deputy of River. Employed by the Extravagant Boars Mercenary Company. She walked in. Left her nightmare behind. And vanished into the night.

 +A writer by the name of Miss Annie Fiddlebottom released an article on daily life of the great city of Tharis. "This city is so wonderful, you can really live your best worst life here! So many live carefree lives. As long as you don't break the laws of course. You're able to get the most yummy food ever. Read books at the amazing libraries here. And visit the Violet for the best live music! I even saw... A young woman dressed in all black with the most beautiful crimson eyes skipping through the streets! She was a little messy though... Seems like her mouth was covered in a lot of red wine... But she was singing happily. See! She's having a blast! Come down to our great place and be free just like her."

 +A low, ominous rumble shakes the Violet Hotel. The tremors are brief, but their aftermath is chilling: an entire room, erased from existence. In its place, a perfect, circular void gapes—silent and unnatural. Guests are unharmed, thanks to the swift actions of the Maitre’D. Yet fear spreads as the void remains, defying repair and reason. Guards swarm, taking frantic statements. How does a soundless void consume a room? Why was no one hurt? Madame Rash’noda, the room’s occupant, was conveniently absent, safe in the Lounge during the event. The Order of Midnight has been summoned. The air hangs heavy with dread.

 +Skorist took it upon himself to deliver "swift justice" to a necromancer actively causing a disturbance in the Magistrate Plaza. He was fined and served time in jail for his actions.

 +Earlier today, Skorist attacked a citizen unprovoked while they were going about their day. Six guards attempted to intervene, and all were harmed in the process.

 +A representative of the Crown of Torm announces this: "The heads of the fugitive Anya and the Necromancer Azraiel are here for all to see." Besides the Rep is a wooden box with the head of a Kitsune and Half-Drow next to each other. "Let this be a reminder to any and all who would dare bring harm to our city and its citizens, that you will be brought to justice." With that, the heads are left there for some time for all to see before being removed a bit later. The bounty on their heads has been claimed.

 +"Our city was attacked, and the one claiming responsibility is a half-drow by the name of Azraiel Remazros. A necromancer who broke out women with split colored black and red hair, who goes by the name of Anya. A 1 million gold kill bounty has been placed on Azraiel, and a 1.5 million gold capture bounty has been placed to bring him in to answer for his crimes. Anya has a capture bounty or kill bounty worth 500,000 gold. Both are here by banned from the city of Torm and a missive has gone out to all our allies. That is all." Following this message, several other cities have banned Azraiel the Necromancer, including Antioch, Azha, Graez, Serakii, Kinaro, and Seneca.

 +In the dead of night, beneath a sky where the moon is shrouded by clouds thick as smoke, a figure wearing a boar mask pushes a cart into the yard of the Castle and Crown. With a loud thud, the cart is dropped, its wooden floor cracking under the weight. The impact sends a blanket-covered object tumbling to the ground, the noise drawing the attention of patrons and employees alike. Before anyone can speak, the masked man draws a knife. Without hesitation, he plunges it into his stomach. Blood and gore spill onto the ground, the man’s life pooling beneath him until he collapses in finality. Behind him, the blanket falls away to reveal a haunting piece of art—a dancer, mid-pose, gazing at the sky. The crowd watches in stunned silence, unable to look away, until a loud, piercing scream cuts through the stillness, snapping them from their trance. Now, only the corpse of the masked man and the enigmatic statue remain.

Tharis's defenses have been left devastated after the attack, but their preparations seem to have saved most of the city. Still smoke bellows out from the cities, sections of the walls crumble the west gate has been destroyed. But the creatures that laid seiged withdrew in the midst of the battle. Between Shadow and Tharis a large explosion leveled part of the Darkwood Forest, a blinding light of fire and radiance, leaving it marked. News spreads to every corner of the region. The miasma returned, the portal in the sky was back and an attack on the city of Tharis was carried out by the wooden shadow creatures. Tharis's defenses have been left devastated after the attack, but their preparations seem to have saved most of the city.
